ABOUT THIS PATTERN

This is a fun brioche knit shawl with bobbles, texture, and all the fun you’d like in a quick knit-up thanks to the required worsted weight yarn!

MATERIALS

Yarn: Worsted Weight Yarn

The sample was made with the following:

Hand Dyed Diva Worsted (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 228 yds/208 m per 100 gr skein).

The sample used: 1 skein each of Talisman (Color A), Raven Wing (Color B), and Outer Banks (Color C).

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles 47” (120 cm) long, or size needed to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle to weave in yarn tails

GAUGE

17 sts and 36 rows = 4” in Brioche stitch after blocking. Exact gauge is not critical to the success of this project, but working to a different gauge will alter the finished size and the amount of yarn required.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Along straight top edge: 44”

Depth at center: 17”

Along curved half circle edge: 59”

NOTE

This shawl is knit from the top down, beginning with a garter tab.
