Vite Cowl is a simple, one-skein knit that works up very quickly and is terrific for last-minute gifts. The design for this came after working up the hat in Madison. I loved the softness and “cuddly” nature of this yarn so much that I decided to make a cowl to match. The cowl consists of a simple k1, p1 ribbing followed by a simple pattern stitch and is then concluded with the k1, p1 ribbing.

Gauge 20 sts by 32 rounds = 4 inches in pattern stitch on US 8

20” (slightly stretched) at top circumference, increasing to 24” in circumference at the bottom, by 8.75” tall

One skein of Madison by Miss Babs in the color Deep Sea Jelly Fish

200 yards of equivalent aran weight yarn

One set of four US 8 (5.00 mm) double-pointed needles
