This design is a pure celebration of spring and summer knitting with its playful striped chevron pattern, v-neck both in front and back, mini picot edging, comfortable and adjustable straps, and simple straight silhouette.

The cami is knit from the top down, so it is easy to pick a perfect desired length. This pattern can be worked in any number of colors from one (let those textures reign!) to as many as you have. It is perfect for using up leftover yarn or mini skeins.

Needles and Gauge

• Swatch to determine your needle size that helps to fit the gauge; needle size below is a suggestion
• US 4 / 3.5mm for the body
• US 3 / 3.25mm for the ribbing and straps
• Circular needles on 32”(80cm) cable

Construction

• The cami is knit from the top down, starting with a mini picot cast on and proceeding in half twisted rib.
• The chevron pattern is created with the equidistant placement of increases and decreases. Stripes transition into each other with a couple of rows of texture.
• Once the desired length is reached, four empty triangles at the bottom of the cami are filled up one by one by knitting back and forth.
• Stitches for the hemline are picked up around the garment. It is finished off with half twisted rib.
• Stitches for the straps are picked up at the top of two triangles. The straps are worked in a ribbed pattern and grafted to the other two triangles.
