Vintage Style Bonnet
This little crochet bonnet is styled after the adorable vintage hats of days gone by, however I have given it a modern twist by keeping the pattern simple at the front, with the more elaborate detailing at the back of the hat.
This hat is particularly delightful when worn on the smaller frame of a child, and so I have named it ‘The Rathlin,’ after a very small island off the coast of Northern Ireland, near where I grew up.
You will need a medium or worsted weight yarn to complete the project. I have included details for crocheting this hat in three sizes:
~ 3-6 months
~ 6-12 months
~ 2-4 years
The pattern is suitable for beginners, with a basic crocheting knowledge, and is written in standard US terms. I have included detailed step-by-step instructions, and I also offer free support via email, should you need help with any aspect of the making process.
