These socks incorporate cables and beads to create a design reminiscent maybe of a snowman’s buttons. Or a tuxedo shirt. I have also been told that the cables and twisted rib “medallion” down the center of the sock has a vintage feel, hence the pattern name. But no matter what the design brings to each person’s mind, they are beautiful cabled socks and a great intro to beading!

The number of beads is customizable based on your preference. Love beads? Include them on the entire sock. Don’t like beads in your shoes? Only use them on the leg. Don’t like beads at all? The pattern still looks great without them!

There are three sizes available - 66, 74, and 82 sts.
Note that the cables pull in the sock quite a bit, so if you are between sizes, try the larger one. The sock size can also be adjusted by changing gauge using larger/smaller needles with thicker/thinner fingering weight yarn.
