Vintage Fingerless Mittens
These mittens are knit on circular needles but they are knit back and forth (not in the round). The reason for the circular needle is so that you can slide stitches to other end of needle. This is done to have the yarn where you need it and to cut down on a few purl rows. Twist in ends as you go so you don’t have ‘loops’ on the side of your work. The thumb IS knit in the round using the same circular needle and the magic loop method. Unless otherwise stated, turn at the end of every row.
Applique and embroidery is done in crochet.
I like Cascade 220 Superwash, but there are many yarns out there to give you this gauge. Check out the last page for other color variations! Happy Knitting!
I found that one ball of MC is not quite enough to do 2 matching pairs.
