For me going back to school was the exciting time of getting new schoool supplies! And though new pens and notebooks were magical, the most important accesoiry was obviously the new bag!

Now imagine a bag which you can make yourself, in your favourite colors, for yourself or a loved one, this is: The Vintage Backpack crochet pattern.

It’s very easy to make, you’ll need about 850m of Aran or Worsted weight yarn and crochet hook 3.5mm or D.

The yarn I chose was Scheepjeswol Softfun and it was perfect because of its weight, sturdiness and its lack of pilling!

This bag is a great size for almost anyone, it fits my 7-year old daughter, but my husband has used it too. You can simply adjust the length of the straps to fit the Backpack’s owner perfectly.
