This cowl is the cover project on Let’s Knit! Magazine 37, December 2010, Winter Warmers supplement, where it is named “Victory Cowl”.

It’s a very simple neck cowl, knitted as a rectangle in moss stitch, then the ends are joined together to form a cylinder shape. It takes 2 x 50g balls of the recommended yarn, and relies on luxurious-quality yarn for effect.
