Ever looking for a comfy, roomy, snuggly, stylish, and warm sweater to be thrown over that perfectly styled hair of yours? This one might be the one you’re looking for!
Very fast and easy to make, with roomy collar room. You want to make it oversized like mine? Or do you prefer fitted look? Just go down a size!
Materials
- Caron Simply Soft Yarn (Solid: 6 oz/ 170.1g, 315yds/ 288m; Tweeds: 5oz/ 141g, 250yds/ 228m) or similar worsted weight (4) yarn in 2 contrasting colors
Mine was made using Caron Simply Soft Solid (Victorian Rose) as my main color and Caron Simply Soft Tweeds (Off White) as my contrasting color

L 4 skeins 2 skeins
XL 5 skeins 3 skeins
XXL 5 skeins 4 skeins
- H/ 5.00mm crochet hook and J/ 6.00mm crochet hook (or hook size needed to obtain gauge)
- Embroidery needles (preferably stainless steel)
- Stitch Markers
Gauge
Ribbing: 2x4in/ 5x10cm: 11SC x 16rows of ribbing with H hook
Main pattern: 4x4in/ 10x10cm: 16DC x 10rows (DC and SC row repeats), with J hook
Collar Ribbing: 4x4in/ 10x10cm: 17HDC x 10rows of collar pattern, with H hook
Please take some of your time aside to do a gauge patch in both Ribbing and Main Pattern to avoid sizing problem in the future! Everyone is different and you might need different size hooks to get the correct gauge!
