Victorian Angel Ornament
A romantic, Victorian Angel to make as a lovely addition to your collection of crocheted Christmas ornaments; though it is certainly not limited to Christmas decor. :)
This Victorian Angel can be made in a few short hours, and uses chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. To make this pattern as written, the crocheter will need size 10 crochet thread (~50 yards MC and ~5 to 10 yards CC) and a 1.75mm or 1.80mm steel crochet hook to make this ornament. Other materials include sewing thread and a tiny amount of stuffing material (such as polyfill) for the head. This pattern would likely best be listed as Average in difficulty, or Confident Beginner. It is truly not difficult, though some may find the early fullness of the skirt a bit of a challenge to hang onto for a round or two.
No gauge is given, as it will not have a significant effect on your ornament. The key importance is to ensure that your stitches are tight enough on the head to ensure stuffing material (such as polyfill) will not escape (as you would with amigurumi).
This pattern is a great way to treat yourself! The resulting ornament is beautiful, making a perfect gift, while at the same time, you get to enjoy the process and satisfying results.
