This sweater features a unique construction. First a striped triangular shawl is knitted then converted into a pullover. The top edge of the shawl will be at the armholes. Stitches are cast on for the hem and from bottom up the missing part of the body of the sweater is filled in, joining the live stitches to the shawl stitches as you go. After knitting the sleeves bottom up you pick up stitches from the edge of the shawl, joining with the sleeves and forming the yoke with decreasing in a raglan line.

As the shaping is already interesting, the patterns used are simple: stripes, stockinette and garter stitch.
Because of the construction, this pattern is available in sizes 32-40. Because the depth of the shawl is connected with the width bigger sizes are longer. I combined a solid and a variegated colour, the sweater can make with sock yarn.

Due to the complexity of the construction, I recommend it to advanced knitters: several things happen at the same time so experience is essential. I made a cheat sheet for every size, what contains in a table in which row what happens and how many stitches you should have.

Hand dyed Merino ByBuci 540m/100g 100% merino.
Color: C1: semisolid, C2: variegated. The yarn is a
very loosely plied 2 ply yarn.

SUGGESTED YARNS
A variegated and a solid color yarn in fingering
weight, but you can use two (semi)solid as well.
Something stretchy, because of the negative ease.

Two US 2,5 (3 mm) 40-48” (100-120 cm) long circular
needles, or an interchangeable with an extra cable
and cable stopper for the ends.

SIZES
32 (34, 36, 38, 40). Find schematic and detailed sizes
on Page 9.
The model on the pictures is between 36-38 size. The
sweater she wears is size 38. The design ment to be to
wear with some negative ease. When you choose
your size, think on if you want something looser?

NOTIONS
8 stitch markers, 4 removable markers, tapestry
needle.

GAUGE
23 sts x 37 rows in 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette st.
Take your time to get the right gauge! Knit an at least
5x5” swatch, wash it, and measure it.
