Veselie is a real feel-good cardigan. Fiona Munro designed it for our wonderfully loosely spun Merino d’Arles yarn from Southern France. Its bright colour Ocre, which is reminiscent of the ochre rocks of the Provence, and its classic, timeless cut provide ever new styling possibilities - whether casual or elegant. The jacket is worn openly, and its V-shaped neckline looks especially beautiful with feminine dresses. We like the practical, inset pockets, but you can leave them out if you prefer. The generous length provides extra warmth and is ideal for cuddling up in all situations of life.

Veselie is knitted seamlessly - this is not only easy but also looks magnificent. First, the body is worked flat from bottom to top up to the armholes. The left front, back and right front are knitted separately. Then the shoulder seams are joined using a 3-needle bind-off. Finally, pick up stitches at the armholes and knit the sleeves in the round from top to bottom. This way, you can try them on to see if the length fits. The subtle diamond pattern is made with just knit and purl stitches. It is described in charts and text and will let you get into a relaxing flow after only a few rows.

Veselie is part of our first own collection 2020 with the theme Joy. It was conceived by Rosy and realized with a team around the world in times of a global pandemic. The pattern names are joyful expressions from different languages. They remind us that joy, diversity and solidarity across borders can give us hope and strength. Veselie means joy in Romanian.
