Vertigo Cowl & Scarf Collection
Vertigo is the first in my Movie Night Knits Collection. These are patterns that are designed to be easily memorized and perfect for movie/tv knitting or knitting and chatting with friends at knit night. I have also included instructions for a variety of yarn weights, so you can use whatever yarn weight you have handy.
Vertigo contains both a cowl and a scarf version with three levels of difficulty for each version. That is SIX patterns in one!
There are three difficulty versions of this pattern you can choose from:
- Regular Edition- Simplest form of the pattern. Knit and purls only. Suitable knitting for thrillers or action packed movies.
This version of the Vertigo cowl features a reverse stockinette border and diagonal lines that swirl around the body of the cowl that are created by purl stitches on a background of stockinette. The scarf version features a garter stitch border on the sides and ends with the purl stitch lines striping diagonally across the body of the scarf.
- Special Edition- Slightly higher in difficulty. Great for beginner knitters to learn a new skill. Suitable knitting for comedy and romance movies.
This version of the Vertigo cowl features a reverse stockinette border and diagonal lace eyelets that swirl around the body of the cowl that are created by yarn overs and k2togs on a background of stockinette. The scarf version features a garter stitch border on the sides and ends with the lace eyelets striping diagonally across the body of the scarf.
- Director’s Cut- Combination of the skills used in the regular and special editions. Suitable knitting for family movies, documentaries, and your favorite movie that you’ve seen a thousand times.
This version of the Vertigo cowl features a reverse stockinette border and diagonal purl and eyelet lines that swirl around the body of the cowl on a background of stockinette. The scarf version features a garter stitch border on the sides and ends with the purl and eyelet lines striping diagonally across the body of the scarf.
