Vera Shawl
Inspired by the pointy leaves of the aloe vera plant, I designed an accessory that’s somewhere between a shawl and a scarf. I love making shawls and I really like the traditional triangle shape, but I find it difficult to wear day to day. I tend to wear my shawls like scarves anyway, but find that they quickly become undone whilst I’m running around after small children. My Vera Shawl, has the that traditional triangle shape of the shawls I love, but is a narrower version, which is lovely and long, so can be worn as a scarf without constantly unwrapping itself.
The shawl is worked sideways from point to point, working in rows, creating points as you go.
