Venetian Tank
The Venetian tank top was designed with Italian holidays in mind. It is a timeless piece that can be worn with just about anything in your wardrobe and styled up or down depending on the occasion. It is minimalistic with just the right amount of details - and a slit back to keep it interesting.
The Venetian top is a super versatile garment that can be worn as a tank top or as a vest over a collared shirt or a t-shirt. It is also perfect for layering during the colder months due to its classic fit and slightly higher neckline.
The Venetian tank top is knitted from the bottom up in the round. After separating at the armholes, the upper body is knitted flat in pieces. The neck is shaped with German short rows and finished off with an i-cord bind off.
The top is knitted with fingering weight yarn held double, but can also be worked with a single strand of DK weight yarn. For summery tops I recommend natural fibers such as silk, lightweight merino, and cotton or linen blends, or if you want a layering piece for the colder seasons, you can choose more rustic wool blends.
