The Velveteen Rose cardigan as a “sister design” which is called Velveteen Sweater. When you buy this pattern, you will also receive the sweater’s pattern.

I just love Velveteen Rose! It has some very assumed vintage vibes, with the shape as well as with the fabric.
Little story behind the design: when I was brainstorming for this project, I was watching season 4 of Stranger Things and it became quickly very clear that I wanted to design a garment that Joyce Byers would totally wear. That’s how Velveteen Rose was created ;)

It’s worked in one piece, from the top down, without seams. With is not too deep V neck style and the stocking stitch sections interspersed by a textured pattern, it’s very easy to wear.

On the yarn side: Merino Bouclé is knitted together with Kumo, giving a nice fluffy fabric. Corrie Worsted is used for all the contrasting parts.

Velveteen Rose est un gilet que j’adore. Il a un petit côté vintage très assumé, que ce soit par la forme ou par le rendu des laines. Pour la petite histoire, quand je l’ai imaginé, j’étais en pleine saison 4 de Stranger Things. Il ne m’en a pas fallu plus pour trouver l’inspiration : je me suis amusée à designer un gilet que Joyce Byers pourrait absolument porter. C’est ainsi qu’est né Velveteen Rose ;)

Il se tricote d’une pièce, du haut vers le bas, sans couture. Avec son encolure en V pas trop profonde et ses sections de jersey entrecoupées d’un petit motif texturé, il est très facile à porter.

Du côté de la laine, le mélange Merino Bouclé + Kumo donne un rendu “barbapapa” très agréable, et la Corrie Worsted est utilisées pour les parties contrastantes.
