Inspiration
Veluma is a secret wink between threads: a pattern inspired by the gifts knitted with love and given in silence, like in a game of Secret Santa. Its name comes from velum, Latin for “veil”: something that covers, protects, or hints.

Green shawl is worked with mohair 3 skeins of Beta Bilobila Mohair. 25 gr; 120 m 77% mohair, 23% silk. Color Tundra

Gauge
In a knitted square of 10 x 10 cm, you will get 19 sts by 24 rows with a 3.5 mm (US 4) needle. Knit the swatch in stockinette stitch and block it.​

Construction Notes
The shawl is knitted from one tip to the other lengthwise, with increases in first half and decreases in second half. At both ends, a wavy lace pattern is worked, which defines the shawl’s character.

The pattern is divided into two sections:

Section 1 – increases: Chart A is worked to form the initial triangle of the shawl.

Section 2 – decreases: Chart B is worked while decreasing until all remaining stitches are bound off.

Veluma es un guiño secreto entre hilos: un patrón inspirado en los regalos que se tejen con cariño y se entregan en silencio, como en el juego del amigo invisible. Su nombre nace de velum, ‘velo’ en latín: algo que cubre, guarda o insinúa.

Tejido de Muestra
En un cuadrado tejido de 10 x 10 cm obtendrás 19p por 24 pas con una aguja de 3,5 mm. Teje la muestra en punto Jersey y bloquéala.

Notas de construcción
El chal se teje de una punta a la otra de manera longitudinal, realizando aumentos en la primera mitad y disminuciones en la segunda mitad. En ambos extremos se trabaja un calado ondulado que caracteriza al chal.
El patrón se divide en dos secciones:

Sección 1 – inicio y aumentos : se teje el esquema A y se conforma el triángulo inicial del chal.

Sección 2 – disminuciones y cierre : se teje el esquema B y se va disminuyendo hasta cerrar los puntos restantes.
