I designed this hat to use up my leftovers from the Rose City Yarn Crawl’s 2016 Mystery KAL - Velo Cowl.

I borrowed the garter stripe with slip stitches pattern as a tribute to this creative and exciting pattern by Larissa Brown and Michelle Kroll.

The resulting hat is super squishy and stretchy. It would make a fabulous slouchy hat if knit to 7 or 8” before crown shaping, but my leftovers didn’t make it that far.
