Originally released as a Mystery Knit Along for the 2016 Rose City Yarn Crawl, the Velo Cowl is inspired by a bike ride though the beautiful, rain-swept city of Portland, Oregon. Designed by Larissa Brown and Michelle Kroll, this versatile accessory can be worn as a stylish cowl or as a pretty shoulder cozy.

Velo takes shape in a surprisingly unconventional way that’s super fun to knit. Starting with a garter tab and increasing to a traditional triangle, the knitting splits down two colorful paths which eventually reunite in a mitered join. The pattern includes charted and written instructions.
