Inspired by the Italian provenance of the Volute yarn used for the design sample, this men’s zippered cardigan has a European flair. The asymmetrical fronts, long cuffs, and oversized cowl collar derive straight from men’s runway fashion, while the fitted shoulders, hip shaping, and roomy body flatter the masculine silhouette.

Volute is a cotton/acrylic blend that will be available soon from Yarns of Italy. It has a soft, velour-like hand that makes it a pleasure to work with and wear. The garment also has a nearly seamless construction for an easy finish.

Yarns of Italy Volute (60% cotton, 40% acrylic):

• 9 (10, 11, 13, 14) skeins / 1128 (1253, 1378, 1629, 1754) yds of color A, shown in #01 / light gray

• 5 (6, 6, 6, 7) skeins / 627 (752, 752, 752, 877) yds of color B, shown in #03 / dark gray

size 6 needles (or size needed to get gauge) in: 40”- and 16”-long circular and dpns (dpns not needed if working sleeves using magic loop or two-circulars method)
