Velino Mitts
Velino - Mitts
Above my birth town of Avezzano (in the Italian region of Abruzzo) sits the mountain of Velino, standing at 2,487 m high. In winter Velino is frequently capped with snow and in summer, the rocks that cover its surface gleam in the sunlight, rough and white. The colour and texture of these mitts recall the mountainous landscape of my childhood.
