The everyday socks are comfortable socks that are suitable for any day, the yarn takes center stage and you can knit as many variations of them as you want. This is my basic sock pattern that is most often found on my knitting needles. Knit a pair, or more, and find out if these are your everyday socks too!

The everyday socks can be knitted from the toe up or from the top down, both variants are described in the pattern. There are five different sizes to choose from and a size chart at the back of the pattern.

Material
Yarn: SKeW No2, 80% Corriedale wool, 20% Nylon, 400m/100g or another sockyarn with approx 400m/100g. You will need approximately A - 50 g, B - 60 g, C - 75 g, D - 90 g, E - 100g yarn per pair of socks, but it depends on how big of a foot you will knit.

Needles: 2.00-2.50 mm, use the needle that you like to knit socks with, DPNs, Magic Loop, two circulars or a 23 cm needle. You only need one of the options.

Notions: A darning needle to weave in ends with. A stitch marker would be helpful.

Size and Gauge
Gauge: 30 sts/42 rounds gives 10 x 10 cm

Size: The length of the sock is easy to adjust, therefore the sizes only indicate the circumference of the foot. If you want to estimate the size, there is a size chart at the back.

A - 18,6 cm (56 sts), B - 20 cm (60 sts), C - 21,3 cm (64 sts), D - 25,7 cm (72 sts), E - 28 cm (80 sts).

Remember to have negative ease on the socks, that’s what keeps them from falling off.
