The Vanilla Silk Socks are featured in the ebook collection: Raincloud & Sage Sock Club Spring. They feature both one skein of R&S Nord and one skein of We Are KAL Journey yarn held double, switching out the MC and CC of Nord to achieve the marled effect on the heels, cuffs & toes.

R&S Sock Club is an ebook collection focusing on socks knit from natural (non-superwash, no nylon) yarns. All the patterns and content is intended to inform & inspire your sock knitting process. This pattern incorporates one of my top tips for knitting socks with no nylon- holding a wool yarn double with another natural fiber (silk) to add more durability.

The Ebook is available for digital download as a single purchase or as part of a kit (with the Nord yarn required for the pattern) via the Raincloud and Sage Website.

Yarn
1 skein Raincloud & Sage Nord: 100% wool- 70 Merino / 30 Ostfriesisches Milchschaf (350 m / 382 yds- 100 g), shown in the colorway Moorschaf (MC1)

1 mini skein Raincloud & Sage Nord: 100% wool- 70 Merino / 30 Ostfriesisches Milchschaf (20g), shown in the colorway Coast (CC)

1 skein We are KAL Journey: 65% Lambswool, 35% Eri Silk (160 m / 40g), shown in the undyed white colorway(MC2)

or 100g of fingering weight yarn (MC1), approx. 50g of light fingering (MC2) both in similar colors & 20g of fingering in a different color (CC)

Note: you will be holding these two yarns double to knit the socks. The light fingering (Journey /MC2) will be used throughout the whole sock along with the fingering (Nord) in MC1 for the body and in CC for the heels, cuffs & toes.
