Valmut Sweater

Valmut Sweater is worked seamlessly top down in the round. The sweater is knitted in one piece with short row shaping at the back neck and back hem to assure a cozy fit and enough length at the back. The pattern is named after a chain of poppies that go around the yoke. You can knit the neck either with rib stitch or stockinette stitch to allow it to roll. Choose a size for your own liking: this straight-lined sweater has around 4 inches / 10 cm of positive ease at the bust circumference.

Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows = 4 x 4 inches / 10 cm over colorwork in the round using US X7/ 4,5 mm needle (after blocking). Make sure to keep the gauge right.

Yoke:
The yoke is worked from the top down in the round and the beginning of round is at the back neck. Follow the Yoke Chart for the colorwork section.
Abbreviations:
BO = bind off
BOR = beginning of round
CC1 = Contrasting Color 1
CC2 = Contrasting Color 2 (Flowers)
DS = double stitch
inc2 = double increase
k = knit
KFB = knit front and back increase
K1tbl: knit 1 through the back loop
k2tog = knit two stitches together
M = marker
MC = Main Color
M1L = make 1 left: take the loop between the two stitches on your left needle from front to back, insert the right needle into the back of the st and knit through the back of the loop (1 st increased)
M1R = make 1 right: take the loop between the two stitches on the left needle from back to front and knit it like a regular stitch (1 st increased)
p = purl
PM = place marker
p2tog = purl two stitches together (1 st decreased)
rnd(s) = round(s)
RS: right side
SM = slip marker
SSK = slip, slip, knit = 1. Slip the first two stitches from the left needle to the right as if to knit them. 2. Move those two stitches back to the left needle. 3. Knit those two stitches together through the back loops.

Harmaassa mallityössä on käytetty Novita 7 veljestä Nature -lankaa, 70 % villa, 30 % tencel, 100 g = 200 m, väri Kallio, kuviovärinä Novita Kajastus 75 % villa, 25 % kierrätyspolyamidi, 100 g = 280 m, värissä Omenatarha ja yhdessä vaaleanpunaisen mohairlangan kanssa.

Huom! Puikkokoko on ainoastaan suositus ja tärkeintä on saada oikea

Lyhenteet:
AM = aseta silmukkamerkki
krs = kerros
KS = tee kaksoissilmukka: tuo lanka työn eteen. Nosta ensimmäinen silmukka neulomatta (nurjalla nurin neulomatta, oikealla oikein neulomatta). Vie lanka oikean puikon työn taakse ja kiristä siten, että silmukka nousee puikolle kaksoissilmukaksi.
