Finnish word Valkoinen means white. White is a color which represents purity, joy and harmony. And like fresh snow this shawl is soft due to garter stitch pattern. Together with eyelet rows the surface reminds from ski trails.

The shawl is worked from longer edge to tip.

Yarn: NOVITA Nalle (DK, 75% Wool, 25% Polyamide, 100g = 284 yards 260m) OR
any other DK weight yarn to fit the gauge.

Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) circular needle 24 – 40 inches (60cm – 100cm).

Gauge: 20 sts x 40 rows = 4 inches (10cm) of surface pattern.

Size: 63 inches (160cm) wide and 29½ inches (75cm) deep.
