Waste yarn for CO (approximately 30 yards / 30m), stitch markers (6), tapestry needle, crochet hooks 4/0 (2.5 mm) (for CO) & 0 (1.75 mm) (for reinforcing the steek), tailor’s chalk, a pair of scissors

Note
Cast on stitches for body with Crochet Cast On method, and add stitches for steek in the center front. Then, join in the round to work from the bottom up. Sleeves are also worked in the round from the bottom up and joined with body at underarm, and then, worked up to neck with decreases. Unraveling the CO stitches, pick up the stitches and work rib for the hem, collar, and cuff. Then, cut the steek. Pick up stitches from the edge and work front band.

Note
このカーディガンは, 身頃を後で解ける作り目でCOし, 前中心にスティークの目を作って輪にし, ボトムアップで編む.
袖もそれぞれボトムアップで輪で編み, 脇下で身頃と合体させて減目しながら首まで編む.
作り目をとき, 目を拾って裾と手首, 襟のリブを編んだ後, スティークを切り開き目を拾って前立てを編む.
