Unmistakably Warm Cowl
by Joanne Seiff
This quick neck gaiter uses just one skein of alpaca yarn and it’s very flexible. The Mistake Rib pattern stretches to fit either a man or a woman, and adds textured detail to a cold weather essential. Use wool if you prefer a more elastic neck warmer with less drape, or use a thicker yarn if you live in a particularly cold climate. Tuck this cowl into your pocket just in case and keep it handy to cover your neck, ears or hair. It’s perfect to fight off a chilly day at any sheep and wool festival!
Uses:
• 115 yd. (105m) of any light weight or DK weight yarn
with the appropriate gauge for a lacy texture
or
• 115 yd. (105m) of a worsted weight yarn that will knit
up at the same gauge for a denser, warmer cowl
