This piece is meant to symbolize the transition between the finished and the unfinished, emphasized by the harmony that occurs between the finished parts. Pins, buttons or a stitch marker can be used to attach the braids. This allows for customization and adds versatility. Leave them in place with a small seam in the last loop of the braid, or start braiding in the morning and loosen them throughout the day. It is also available in two colors or in one color. In two colors, the result is the classic crocheted houndstooth. Ideal for all tastes.

The final measurements depend on whether the braids are completed or left undone. Designed to be worn with 1”–11” of positive ease at the chest. With the braids left undone, the chest has 11” of positive ease. With all braids secured, the chest has 1” of positive ease.

Each row and round has sections of alternating single and double crochet together with chain spaces that can be braided to finish the garment. The garment is crocheted in turned rounds, bottom up, and in one piece until reaching the armhole. Then it will be worked separately. Once all the pieces are done, they will be sewn together in the style of a boat neck. The design can be left as a loose-fitting top or can be customized by braiding the chain space section up rows of chains.
