This shawl is crocheted entirely in slip stitches. I wanted to make a striped rectangle that is worked from the inside out. As slip stitches done in rounds shift and thus all corners are askew, I developed the two-step construction which is worked in rows, each color separately, with proper corners.

A lacy border sets off the light shawl.

Pattern includes written instructions and picture tutorials for the stitches and for my technique of working a twostep rectangle. The stitches used are front loop only slip stitch (F) and inverse back loop only slip stitch (iB).

yarn:

• 50 g (2 oz) ITO Kouki in Penguin (color 234) (269 meters/ 294 yards))
• 100 g (3.5 oz) Yarn Edition Silk \& SeaCell in Nyx (color 011) (366 meters/ 400 yards)

Yarns can easily be substituted.

hook: 4.5 mm (US size G or H)

also useful: 4 stitch markers (or threads in a constrasting color)

Dieses Tuch wird aus Kettmaschen gearbeitet. Ich wollte ein gestreiftes Rechteck häkeln, das von innen nach außen gerabeitet wird. Da Kettmaschen, wie die meisten Häkelmaschen, in Runden nicht gerade übereinanderliegen und damit alle Ecken schief werden, habe ich die two-step Konstruktion entwickelt, die in Reihen gearbeitet wird, mit jeder Farbe einzeln, so dass die Ecken gerade werden.

Eine Lacekante betont die Luftigkeit des Tuches.

Die Anleitung ist schriftlich, mit Lehrgängen für die verschiedenen Kettmaschen und für meine two-step-Konstruktion. Man braucht vorn eingestochene Kettmaschen (V) und von links hinten eingestochene Kettmaschen (liH).
