This little shrug is a great introduction to raglan armhole shaping, the same concept used in all of the more complicated garments in this book. The shrug is cast on at the back neck edge and worked until the desired shoulder-to-shoulder measurement is reached. Stitches are picked up all around the neck and body edge after the back and arms are completed and worked in the round. The ribbing can either be folded or worn up as in the photo. Knit from Cascade Superwash wool, this shrug can be machine washed.
