Two Shades of Grey
A small quantity of contrasting wool is required to make flowers to trim the hat.
Millinery wire needed to stiffen brim, plus a length of ribbon to tone with the contrast-colour used for the crochet flower trimming.
Hat size can be adjusted by increasing the number of rounds in the flat crown before shaping is started.
Original pattern dates from 1936.
