These stunning cabled handwarmers are a fast knit, and are deceptively easy. Aimed at both the adventurous beginner and the well seasoned knitter, the pattern contains diagrams for stitch placement, charts for the cables, and full written instructions. Tips for making the mitts shorter are included, as are hints for reading your knitting to recognise the repeats.

The pattern is 10 pages long, however experienced knitters can choose which pages to print: print pages 4-7 for chart knitting, or 8-10 for written instructions. There are colours in the pattern, however it is perfectly suitable for printing in black & white.

In three sizes and in customisable length (size measured around the knuckles):
Small - 15-17cm/6-6.75” (approx 7-13 year old’s hand)
Medium - 17-19cm/6.75-7.5” (average woman’s hand)
Large - 19-22cm/7.5-8.5” (large woman’s/average man’s hand)

The length of the large size is intended for taller people (5’9”+), so be aware of this if you’re knitting the Large size for width.

Note: Make sure you follow the setup instructions for the placement of the End of the Round - it goes up the centre of the palm. Some people have had problems with the placement of the thumb, and this is due to not having the End of Round in the correct place.

4Nov13: Often on patterns I find the caveat that knitters may not sell items made with the pattern. After a lot of thought and research I have decided that I don’t agree with this statement. I don’t believe that the designer has any rights over the finished product, so, if you’re handknitting and you want to sell items made from my patterns - Best of Luck, and Go For It! I think handknitting for a living must be quite a challenge, so you need all the luck I can give you. Of course, my rights DO cover the patterns themselves, so you mustn’t copy or distribute them.
