Twisted Dish Cloth
Looking for a way to make your home a little more sustainable and eco-friendly this year? It just takes one small step in the right direction and a great way to take that step is by introducing crocheted dish cloths into your home!
These cloths have been designed to have just enough texture for scrubbing, be dense enough that they last a long time, and they’re flexible enough to glide across surfaces!
Pattern Grade: Beginner
Here’s a little more info on what you’ll need to make this pattern:
-
Colour 1: LionBrand Twisted Cotton Blend Yarn (69% Cotton 31% Acrylic, 100g/3.5 oz, 90m/98 yards, #5 Bulky/Worsted weight) - Approx. 50g/45m of this yarn is used This yarn is discontinued now, but you can alternatively use two weight #3 yarns held together. I would recommend using cotton, or a cotton/acrylic blend to help with absorbance when using your cloth
-
Colour 2: 4 Seasons Flinders Cotton Yarn (100% Cotton, 50g/1.7 oz, 115m/225 yards, #3 Light/DK weight) Approx. 7g/16m of this yarn is used I used white for my border, but you can use any colour that compliments colour 1
-
5mm crochet hook (used for main section)
-
4.5mm crochet hook (used for border)
-
Scissors, Tapestry needle
The finished size of the cloth is 21 x 21 cm, but it is completely customisable.
This pattern is also available for free on my website, but the free version does not have the helpful photo tutorials that the PDF pattern does.
