Inspiration:

Malabrigo yarn is exquisite. The limitless colour possibilities just call out to be used in the funkiest combinations. Cables are super fun too, so one day just playing…this cowl just slipped off my needles.
A cowl is the easiest way to play with a new technique. This one combines cables and stranded knitting. Using a Norwegian thimble, anything is accomplishable. Hope you have fun, learning this new and addicting way of knitting.

Sizes:

One size, however, the pattern is an 8 st repeat so use any multiples of 8 for your desired circumference.
Modifications to pattern will affect yarn usage.

Yarn:

Malabrigo Rios (super wash merino) Aran/worsted weight. Soft, strong, and washable, this 4-ply yarn is a workhorse! The plies help resist pilling and wash ability makes it fantastic for frequently worn garments, housewares, and children and baby clothes. And like all our yarns, it’s super soft and great for next-to-the-skin wear! Spun from our premium super wash merino, it comes in an array of watercolor-multi, semi-solid, and variegated colorways.

Amounts used:

Ivy: 1 skein 210 yards
Cocoa: 1 skein 210 yards

Needles:
• Size 7 US (4.5 mm) circulars or size needed to obtain gauge, 16/20-inch cord,
• Darning needles to weave in ends,
• Stitch markers for each pattern repeat, use if needed,
• Cable needle, or 1 dpn.

Gauge:

24 st/26 rows in a stranded 2/2 knit in round 4 in/10 cm blocked swatch.

Finished measurements:

30 inches circumference/ 11 in height
