This is a KAL for both top down and toe up sock knitters. The sock has ribbing for good fit no matter the foot and a simple lace insertion which will demonstrate a lovely technique I learned at the last Sock Summit. The toes/cuffs and set up rounds are already published on the blog, with the next part following later this week!

There is a thread started on the Friends of Summit Yarn for this KAL. ;-D

After completing this sock, when I write the final pattern I would increase the total stitch count to 64 stitches and use a couple of purl sts on each side of the lace panel to create some more ease. Maybe change the M1 to a thumb cast on to the Rh ndl to be worked in pattern as set on he next round.

I did however wash and block mine, to discover no pulling or holes around the lace panel at its turns. Please check your gauge as it is essential to the sock turning out correctly.

Thank you to those of you who knit with me and kindly shared suggestions. xx m.e.
