Zigzagging columns of twisted stitch cables travel up this highly textural hat.

Twist in a Box is worked in the round beginning with twisted stitch ribbing around the brim. Single columns of stitches knit through the back loop divide the sections of twisted stitches. Decreases in pattern shape the crown.

Here’s a video on how to work the Right and Left Twists:

Gauge is important for this hat pattern to ensure a good fit. The sample shown has a circumference of 20.25” / 51.5 cm with approximately 1.25” / 3 cm of negative ease around the brim. Please choose a gauge and hat size that has 0-2” of negative ease for a snug fit.

The pattern includes instructions about how to resize the length of the hat.

Instructions are both written and charted.
