Twilight Illusion
The Twilight illusion knit was inspired by the series of films in The Twilight Saga. It was knitted in DMC Petra count 5 crochet cotton on 2mm needles to check how well illusion knitting would show up using finer yarns than those I would normally use.
The experiment has turned out very well, the definition created by this thinner but less compressible yarn being extremely good.
The completed piece measures approximately 46cm by 30cm. As a comparison the DK yarn and 3mm needles that I would normally use would have given a completed size of about 58cm by 45cm of firm fabric.
Two of the photographs here show the piece when viewed from directly in front and directly behind.
