Tweedy Cowl
This beautiful cowl is modern in its seamless shape and eye-catching with its tweed inspired fair isle detail.
The cowl is knit in the round with 4.00mm (US 6) 40cm (16”) circular needles from the bottom up from a provisional cast on. Once the desired length is reached the final row is grafted onto the cast on edge using Kitchener Stitch in order to create a seamless loop for the cowl.
The sample is knit with DK yarn, Luma, The Fibre Co. (50% wool, 25% cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk), 50 grams/125meters (137 yards), number of balls:
- 5 Basil (MC) (=625 meters)
- 2 Ancient Stone (CC) (=250 meters)
It is recommended to select two yarns with enough contrast so that the fair isle stands out.
Hope you enjoy the pattern! Happy knitting!
