These gorgeous handwarmers are eye catching with their beautiful herringbone tweed inspired fair isle.

This is a great fair isle beginner project with the simple fair isle chart with no more than two different colours worked per round.

The handwarmers are knit in the round with 3mm (2.5US) double pointed needles. The pattern includes instructions for two sizes, with blocked measurements around the knuckles of 6.5” and 8.25”.

The sample is knit with Drops Alpaca (sport weight; 100% alpaca), 50 grams/167meters (183 yards), in:

1 ball of Off White (0100)
1 ball of Navy/Purple (6736)
1 ball of Rust Mix (2925)

There are endless potential great colour combinations and other types of yarn that would suite this pattern!
