A simple, slightly slouchy hat that uses purl and knit welts to showcase Noro Silk Garden’s changing colors.

A note about fit:
Due to the silk content of the chosen yarn the hat will stretch out. If you are worried about it stretching too much, or you want to size it up or down (it fits well on my 22 inch head after repeated wear), you can easily adjust the size by casting on 10 fewer or 10 more stitches and then working the pattern as written.

Depending on where you wear your hat you may find there is a lot of slouch or not enough. This hat is designed to have slight slouch when worn slightly back on the head. If you prefer more slouch, work an extra welt or more stockinette after completing the welts; it’s up to you!
