Turbulence Shawl
The Turbulence Shawl is a great choice for knitting on the go. The garter-stitch body is easily styled, and the lace border draws inspiration from winds sweeping with the clouds. The triangle is formed as you knit the piece from the bottom up.

Finished Size 58” wide and 18” tall.
Yarn Manos del Uruguay Alegria (75% superwash merino wool,
25% polyamide; 445 yd (407 m)/3½ oz (100 g)): #A2342 eucalyptus, 2 skeins. Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.
Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 22 sts and 42 rows = 4” in garter st.

This shawl is worked from the bottom up. A triangle is formed as you knit, then the stitches in the middle of the shawl are bound off and each side is continued to create the long wingspan. The cast-on stitches at the bottom of the shawl are grafted together.

A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
