Tunisian Pot Holders
by Diana Foster
Almost too pretty to actually use in the kitchen, these square potholders are worked in Tunisian simple stitch, which produces a surface that looks woven. They look equally good when worked in a solid or a multicolored yarn, and they are double layered for extra protection.
Finished Measurements:
Approximately 7” x 7.5” (18 x 19 cm)
Yarn:
Choose a worsted weight 100% cotton yarn. If you start out with two different colors of yarn, most skeins will yield at least one pair of potholders (two sides to each).
Crochet Hooks:
US K/10.5 (6.5 mm) afghan/Tunisian hook
US J/10 (6 mm) crochet hook (or one size smaller than afghan hook)
Other Supplies:
Yarn needle
