Tunisian Fade Washcloth
This easy Tunisian crochet dishcloth is created using just one stitch but showcases a beautiful “color-fade” effect through simple color changes.

If you are brand new to Tunisian crochet, then this pattern is a great one to try. You will get lots of practice with the Tunisian simple stitch, which is the most basic Tunisian crochet stitch

This project is easy to follow with written instructions and a helpful visual guides.

The pattern is written for 2 sizes - Washcloth and Tea Towel - but also includes instructions for adjusting the stitch pattern to make a custom size.

Materials
Yarn: Any weight 4 / worsted weight yarn in a cotton or cotton blend.

  • Washcloth: 90yds / 82m (approx. 21yds / 19m each for Colors 1 and 3 and 48yds/ 44m for Color 2)
  • Tea Towel: 400yds / 366m (approx. approx. 96yds / 88m Colors 1 and 3 and 208yds/ 190m for Color 2)

Hook: 6.5mm (K-10.5) crochet hook
