This design was inspired by flower buds that signal the beginning of the spring season. The Tulip Top is designed to be worn on its own as a top or can be layered over a T-shirt. Galileo, the sport weight yarn used in this project, has a sheen, due to its partial composition of viscose derived from bamboo. Decorative pearl buttons added to the back of the top as an option, provide additional shimmer.

This top is worked back and forth in two pieces, from the bottom up. Front and back are worked separately, then seamed.
