Tucked Pullover
This pullover features a neckline anchored with a trio of vertical tucks.
-Finished Size: 33 (35¼, 37¼, 41, 44¼, 48)” bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 35 ¼”, modeled with 3¼” of positive ease.
-Yarn: Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool (45% wool, 35% silk, 20% nylon; 191 yd 175 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #109 medium gray, 5 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7) hanks. Yarn distributed by Knitting Fever.
-Needles: Body and sleeves – size 4 (3.5 mm): 16” and 29” circulars (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn) Neckband – size 3 (3.25 mm): 16” cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
-Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
-Gauge: 23 sts and 34 rnds =4” in St st on larger needles after blocking.
Q & A:
I’m confused about working the tucks. Can you clarify? It is a modified tuck. The tucks are worked on the RS. You would pick up the knit stitch 7 rows below, slip to LH needle and knit it together with the next st. This will create the elongated stitch and fold (bringing 2 right sides together) to form the horizontal tuck.
