I have always been intrigued with knitting patterns worked in the opposite direction than the usual, like sweaters that start at the cuff of one sleeve and end at the opposite cuff, or scarves that are worked lengthwise instead of widthwise. This sock is my homage to that tradition. No doubt, some will say it is misnamed, as a true tube sock has no heel or shaping. Incorporating a few interesting techniques, like a provisional cast-on, garter stitch grafting, and an attached I-cord trim, this sock is a good one for someone who is ready to explore a new approach to sock knitting.
