The Tubac Stole is a rectangular wrap with an interesting construction method: it is knit from the centre out in rounds. The first colour change is done in a geometric slip stitch pattern.

The design was inspired by the blue sky and dry desert-like landscape in theSouthwest of the USA as well as by the culture of the Native Americans living in these areas.

The stole begins in the center with a double-sided cast on and is worked in rounds with increases at four corners. To accommodate the large number of stitches, it is recommended to work with two long circular needles so that each holds half of the stitches.
