Troppo Mayhem
5 for 4 – if you buy any 5 Åsa Tricosa patterns at the same time you get the least expensive one for free.
Troppo Mayhem is, despite the name, neither too much (troppo) nor too little. Rather, it is just right. Plenty of squishy comfort is knitted in soothing stretches of simple garter stripes; a brief short-row interlude then prepares the way for a decoratively arching cable motif for the finale.
Troppo Mayhem is knitted with lofty, woolly, and wonderfully soft Masham Mayhem from Ginger Twist – a yarn that is slightly addictive.
Construction
- Knitting begins with a provisional cast on that is bound off with a stretchy bind off, but you can use any (stretchy) cast on you like.
- Simple garter stripes on the bias are followed by a brief shortrow filler section.
- A cable motif grows out of plain garter stitch and finishes the shawl.
- A spine created by a central double decrease runs from the starting point and sprouts the final cable motif.
Each of the three sections is written out row by row. For the cable motif there is, in addition, a chart.
