Tritoniella belli, you are the inspiration for this shawl. You reside in the waters of Antarctica, a place of such cold and such depth of snow and ice no human can survive without extensive protection… and you, so fragile, so small, you thrive. Only the bravest witness your lambent traces over the coral; you give me joy.

This is an asymmetrical, crescent, spiral shawl knit from the top down with cables and lace stitches. Tritoniella Belli is knit with 3.5mm circular needles in main colour and then BO with 5.0mm needles in contrasting colour. I recommend a light, solid, main colour to show off your cable stitches!

Tritoniella belli, tu es la source d’inspiration pour ce chale. Tu resides dans l’ocean Antarctique, un endroit d’un tel froid, d’une telle profondeur, constamment glacial et enneige, qu’aucun etre humain peut y vivre sans protections extremes. Et toi, si fragile, si petit, tu t’epanouis. Seulement les plus courageux peuvent temoigner de tes traces chatoyantes sur les coraux;
tu me rends heureuse.

Ce chale est asymetrique en forme de spirale croissante et tricote de haut en bas. On augmente aux bordures (avant et apres la bordure en point mousse) des cotes endroit et envers. Sur les diagrammes, il y a des boites en rouge qui indiquent les repetitions. A partir du rang 51, les aug3 devient en aug5 du cote gauche du chale.
