Blocking Notes This shawl requires severe blocking. Shawl will not block properly if the lace edge worked is too tight or does not have enough joins.
Follow the tips given below to get a well blocked shawl:-

1. Work more joins - pattern calls for 1:1 join, try 2:3 ratio, i.e. 3 rows of edge over 2 live stitches.
2. For lace edge only, use knitting needles one size larger than the ones used for shawl body.
3. Double block the shawl - Work the shawl body, block it with live stitches and work the lace edge on this blocked shape with enough joins to keep the shawl body shape intact. Re-block the whole shawl again.
